Japandi kitchen in walnut with ribbed glass doors, a timber bar table and a sculpted pendant light

01Studio

BotiBoti is the interior studio of Botond Ferenczy. Boti designs every room and every piece in it. Craftsmen he has worked with for years make them, and he stays on it until they are fitted, so nothing is lost between the drawing and the drill.

03Approach

Three shapes, one person accountable. Choose a stage to see how it works.

Measured, drawn and shown in 3D before anything is cut. Layout, materials, light and every joint are decided on paper first.

Botond Ferenczy

Boti draws every room himself and stays with it, through production, to the final fit. One person accountable from first sketch to last hinge.

A graphic designer by training, he works in the line of Bauhaus and modernism: oak and raw copper, lamps he collects, chairs he collects even more of. His own house in Cluj is the clearest brief he has ever written.
